Boatman’s Court, a multi-level residential building in Preston, required some support with the planning and implementation of substantial upgrades to its fire safety measures.
Endeavour Group was engaged to carry out a thorough review of the premises design, compartmentation, and evacuation planning, ensuring the safety of residents. Key improvements included the design and installation of a dry riser system for efficient water access during emergencies. Boundary walls and fire- stopping measures were reinforced to achieve a 60-minute fire resistance rating, effectively containing fire and smoke.
Working closely with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Kexgill Group building management, Endeavour ensured all upgrades complied with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.
Boatman’s Court now serves as a model for effective fire safety planning, providing residents with peace of mind and a secure living environment.
