Protecting lives, property and peace of mind

When it comes to fire safety, the responsibility lies with the owner or the person they appoint as the responsible person, who needs to be competent in the area. To ensure the safety of your building, it’s vital to have a third-party inspection by someone who really knows their stuff.

At Endeavour Group, we offer a range of Fire Safety Services to business owners and contractors.

Endeavour Fire Safety Services

Fire Engineering Project Support

Whatever your needs are, we’re here to provide efficient and flexible solutions during the design stages while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations (Approved Document ‘B’).

Our support includes:

  • Fire Engineering Objectives
  • Development of a robust Fire Strategy
  • Review of fire system designs, including suppression systems, fire alarms and emergency lighting

Fire engineers play a key role in your project’s fire safety strategy. Our job is to guide the design team, from helping architects with fire safety issues to advising engineers on the necessary systems (such as smoke ventilation, sprinklers, and emergency lighting).

We also work with structural engineers to ensure the fire protection your building needs is understood and properly implemented.

Compartmentation Inspections

After a Fire Risk Assessment, a more detailed inspection of fire-rated walls, floors and doors is often necessary.

Our inspectors have a wealth of experience, and we take the time to thoroughly check that everything meets the necessary industry standards, including Building Regulations, Manufacturer’s Installation Specifications and Fire Test Evidence.

After Passive Fire Protection (PFP) or other fire stopping products are installed, we inspect their application and provide an acceptance report once everything’s up and running. We can also inspect any ongoing or completed work for compliance and carry out both visual and destructive tests to make sure everything meets the required standards.

Our inspection team covers a wide range of systems, including:

  • Penetration Sealing and Fire Stopping
  • Cavity Barriers
  • Fire Rated Partitions and Ceiling Systems
  • Fire Rated Ducting & Fire Dampers
  • Structural Fire Protection Boards / Intumescent Coatings / Wet Spray
  • Fire Rated Glazing and Screens
  • Timber, Steel & Composite Fire Rated Doors

We always provide you with a detailed report on our findings, including images of any issues and practical remediation steps. If needed, we can even help you create a cost plan to manage your budget.

Fire Risk Assessment

We’ll work closely with you to assess your business’s major fire risks, ensuring we take the complexity out of today’s fire safety regulations. Our experienced Fire Risk Assessors have worked across all kinds of properties, from warehouses to retail spaces, and we know what to look for.

The Fire Risk Assessment we conduct focuses on identifying risks to life from fire (while property risks are not assessed directly, they will improve based on our recommendations). The final report will highlight key findings and provide clear, actionable steps to address the issues.

We take a non-destructive approach, surveying the common areas and safety features in place, such as:

  • Fire hazards and how to control them (e.g., electrical risks, smoking, arson, heating, housekeeping, etc.)
  • Fire protection measures (e.g., escape routes, fire spread control, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire signage)
  • Fire safety management (e.g., safety procedures, staff training, testing and maintenance of fire systems)

We offer our services across the UK, ensuring nationwide coverage to meet your needs.

Do you need fire safety support? We’re here to help.

Landlords and property management companies often have full records of active fire safety systems, such as alarms and fire extinguishers. However, records of passive fire protection measures may not always be available.

In addition to providing deficiency reports, we offer a full asset register for built-in passive fire protection measures (where feasible). This includes:

  • Fire stopping
  • Fire doors
  • Structural fire protection
  • Cavity barriers

We also offer training for those responsible for repairing fire-stopping and fire doors, leading to a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Associated Industrial Services Occupations—Passive Fire Protection (Construction).

If you need any other fire safety support or have questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re here to help.
