Overview
The Level 2 Award in Rainscreen Cladding Installation is aimed at individuals who wish to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competence in the installation of rainscreen cladding systems.
You will need to demonstrate practical skills in relevant areas, to prove you have the ability to carry out your work safely and to a good standard. You will also need to show understanding and awareness, to prove you have a good level of work-related knowledge and understanding.

This NVQ provides the opportunity for rainscreen cladding installers in the construction industry to demonstrate their competence and boost their careers.
The qualification is supported and delivered using two unique new systems to the training market as detailed below:

Digital Competence Passport – SVS Competency Passport

There are no formal entry requirements. However, you must demonstrate to us that you have the experience, skills, knowledge and capacity to achieve this qualification through our internal assessment process.

Be able to conform to general health, safety and welfare when installing rainscreen cladding
Understand the importance of an employer’s responsibility for occupational health when installing rainscreen cladding
Understand the importance of employee health and wellbeing when installing rainscreen cladding
Understand the purpose of rainscreen cladding systems
Demonstrate competency when preparing to install rainscreen cladding
Demonstrate competency when installing rainscreen cladding
Be able to prepare for future installations of rainscreen cladding systems
Assessment
Your assessor will visit you, on site, to collect evidence relating to the qualification being undertaken. Using methods such as observation (watching) and discussion, the assessor will work with you to gather what’s required for your portfolio – these methods of assessment are often recorded electronically.
Duration
The timescale between your initial induction for the course and completion varies. However, 2-4 months is a realistic time – although this can be longer or even shorter, depending on the candidate’s ability and availability.
