Overview

The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment is for practitioners who assess competence in a work setting using methods like observation, work products, oral questioning, discussions, witness testimonies, learner statements and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Upon completion, this qualification offers a path to an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification after gaining enough experience.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, but learners must:

Be over 19 years old
Hold a professional qualification and/or demonstrate relevant competence
Be part of an assessment team and have access to at least two learners
Attend standardisation meetings and comply with quality assurance procedures
