Qualification structure
To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete ten mandatory units, including:

• Maintaining professional competence in health and safety practice
Assessment and certification
Assessment is work-based and evidence-driven, allowing candidates to demonstrate competence in their current role. Evidence may include written reports, observation, professional discussion and supporting documentation.
On successful completion, candidates are awarded the ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, confirming their ability to lead and manage health and safety at a senior level.
