The ProQual Level 4 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment is a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for professionals developing intermediate-level competence in fire risk assessment.
Aligned with BS 8674:2025 – Built Environment Framework for Competence of Individual Fire Risk Assessors, this qualification supports those undertaking and reporting on fire risk assessments in low and moderate risk buildings
It builds both technical knowledge and practical assessment capability, supporting progression into more responsible fire risk assessment roles.
Who it’s for
This course is suitable for:
• Fire risk assessors progressing from Level 3
• Health & safety professionals involved in fire risk

• Fire safety practitioners working with moderate-risk buildings
Learners must:
• Be aged 18+
• Hold the ProQual Level 3 Award or have relevant occupational experience
• Have access to appropriate premises to generate assessment evidence

• Fire Risk Assessment for a Moderate-Risk Building
• Professional Development as a Fire Risk Assessor
Total Qualification Time: 245 hours / Guided Learning Hours: 160 hours
