Overview

It’s a practical, knowledge-based qualification that requires access to assessors who assess vocational learners to generate the necessary evidence.

Trainee IQAs typically work in teaching, training, or assessing roles and want to develop their skills in internal quality assurance for vocational qualifications.

Entry Requirements

To enrol, you’ll need one of the following qualifications:

Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
A1 Assess candidate performance using various methods
D32/D33 Assess candidate performance using different evidence sources

You must also have access to at least two assessors who are working with vocational learners. You’ll need to attend standardisation meetings and comply with both internal and external quality assurance procedures.

Understanding the principles and practices of internally assessing the quality of assessment
Internally assuring the quality of assessment

Assessment

Assessment is done through a personal portfolio, with one theory and one practical unit. The eLearning platform makes it easy to submit evidence electronically.
